Inquilab Zindabad, Down with Extortionists: Nasiruddin Patwari

The National Citizens Party (NCP) has issued a stern message regarding the slogan “Inquilab Zindabad.”

Tonight, Saturday (February 21), NCP Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari posted on social media platform Facebook, saying: “Inquilab Zindabad, Chandabaz Murdabad” (Long live revolution, down with extortionists).

Earlier, on the same issue, NCP spokesperson Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiya and South Region Chief Organizer, Comilla-04 MP Hasnat Abdullah, had also spoken out.

The incident traces back to a statement made by Minister of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku.

This morning, at a discussion meeting, cultural program, and award ceremony organized by the district administration at Sirajganj District Shilpakala Academy auditorium, he stated in his speech as the chief guest that: “If we are to embrace Bengal and call the Bengali language our mother tongue, then ‘Inquilab Zindabad’ cannot be accepted. ‘Inquilab Zindabad,’ ‘Inquilab Mancha’—these have no connection with Bengal.”
