“Without the July Spirit, Building a Democratic, Unified, and Inequality-Free Country Is Impossible”

Hamidur Rahman Azad, Assistant Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami, stated that it is impossible to build a democratic, unified, and inequality-free country without the spirit of July.

He made the remarks on Saturday (February 21) at a discussion meeting on International Mother Language Day held at the Diploma Engineers Institute in the capital.

Hamidur Rahman Azad added that those who truly sacrificed in the Language Movement have not received proper recognition for their sacrifices, especially those made for political reasons.

Jamaat’s Naib-e-Amir Mujibur Rahman was also present at the event. He said that initiatives must be taken to establish the Bengali language everywhere, including in the courts.
